A little court etiquette during league…

The Dublin Lawn Tennis Council’s Winter League, started January 21st, has over 70 participating clubs. With 132 proud CLTC players on 22 teams, the club gears up for five weeks of intense competition, ending on February 25th.

Men’s matches kick off Sundays at 9:30am and 11am, while the ladies take the court at 2pm and 3:30pm. Nine courts (indoor and outdoor), are dedicated to HOME matches, accommodating the DLTC’s schedule.

Six outdoor courts are available for play or practice from 9:30am to 6pm every Sunday.

If you’ve reserved the 6 pm slot on a Sunday, there might be a brief wait if a league match is still in progress.

We understand this may inconvenience you and sincerely appreciate your patience. While we could block the courts for the 6-7pm slot, we’ve chosen to keep it open for members to book. Most league matches are expected to conclude, allowing uninterrupted play. This decision is made to accommodate our members, so please consider this when booking a 6pm slot on a Sunday in the upcoming weeks. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

If you find yourself playing on a neighbouring court during a league match, we kindly ask for your mindfulness. Avoid distractions by refraining from walking behind active league matches. There can be tension, concentration and intensity on the courts so your consideration ensures that every player can give their best!

As the Winter League unfolds, Castleknock Tennis Club invites members to come and support the players, embrace the camaraderie, celebrating victories and learning from defeats, making this tournament more than just a competition!
