Debra Ireland Ladies’ Fundraiser

Adult Members, Members Only, Social, Tennis
Thank you so much for all your help organising my fundraiser for Debra Ireland, and a big thanks to the club for allowing me to host it. We had a fantastic night, with 47 ladies playing tennis in the fine weather, sporting a Debra tattoo to show their support. Between the raffle, tennis fee and donations, we raised a whopping €1347 net for this worthy cause. All this will go straight to Debra Ireland, the national charity providing support services and to drive research into treatments and cures for those living with the genetic skin condition, epidermolysis bullosa (EB) Patients who have EB, have skin internally and externally that is as delicate and fragile as the wings of a butterfly, and just as easily damaged. I truly appreciate everyone’s support…

Unfortunately despite sterling performances from our under 12 boys team (class 1) (James McGloughlin, Marcus Boyle, Eamon Shanahan, Alex Stapleton, Philip Byrne, James Lammas and Dermot Collins) and our under 18 girls team (class 2) (Monica Doda, Lucy Collins, Brianna Toland, Julia Timotin, Rebecca Carmody, Aoife Wallace) the opposition proved too strong on the day but we are very proud of them. Congratulations to our under 14 Stars and…

Adult Members, Club Info, Members Only, Social, Tennis
Hi Ladies, I am running a fund-raising Tennis Night on Thursday May 31st at 8pm for Debra Ireland, a worthy cause supporting children with EB, an incurable and debilitating skin condition. The format will be the same as Thursday's social tennis. There will be a charge of 10 euro, with all profits going towards Debra Ireland, who provide care to parents and patients, and are endlessly working towards finding a cure for this awful disease. Your support will be greatly appreciated. There will be a prize for the highest point-scorer, with a participant's raffle as well. The usual cheese and nibbles will be provided. I will also be selling raffle tickets, with some great prizes up for grabs. Looking forward to seeing you on the night!   Yours sincerely, Áine…
