Court Closed

Dear Members

We have been following and adhering to the Government and HSE advice and guidelines regarding the Covid19 restrictions over the last number of weeks and especially the advice around outdoor exercise and the benefits to one’s mental health and well being which is why we endeavored to maintain access to the courts for members use, however as this crisis evolves we are now been advised that it is time to suspend all tennis activities with immediate effect.

Tennis Ireland our governing body has endorsed this position and we follow this advice and accordingly we shall be closing our courts with immediate effect.

We would like to pay tribute to the many Club members working in and across the health and first responder sectors as well as those providing essential services for the wider community. I am particularly grateful to many of these members whose wise council has helped shape the Club’s managed response to the crisis in the best interest of membership and staff.

I also want to acknowledge the tremendous efforts made by Steve O’Reilly and his team in planning various contingency protocols that have now been put in place.

I am aware of some members that have either been diagnosed with COVID 19 or are currently self-isolating. On behalf of the membership, I wish them well over the coming weeks for a complete and speedy recovery.

We wish that you all stay safe and watchout for each other and please rest assured that we will be still keeping our club ticking over and preparing for reopening as and when it is safe to do so
