Weekend of 24th / 25th may was a very busy one for a large group of juniors who succeeded in getting 5 Castleknock teams into finals:

Saturday 24th

U14 stars and stripes team won their semi-final on Saturday evening but were then pipped later that evening by Sutton in the very last game (a tie-break) of the final to relinquish the trophy they held from last year. Congratulations to Vimanyu Taneja, Matei Domsa, Louis Vella, Cillian Garvey, Conor McCabe, Luke Reaney, Ellen O’Shaughnessy, Caoimhe Toland, Emma Kate Duke, Sadhbh Kenny, Aine Gaynor, Cayla O’Neill and all others who played in the earlier stages of the competition.

Sunday 25th

U18 Boys Class 1 were beaten by a strong Sutton team.  Congratulations to Cameron Singh, Cian Hegarty, Daniel Borisov and Sebastian Rozenbergs, and all the subs who were part of a very high level competition – Edgar Rozenbergs, Lloyd O’Connor, Mark Borisov, Cian Hegarty, Cillian Garvey, Alex Stapleton.

U12 Boys Class 3 were narrowly beaten 2-1 by a lively Leopardstown.  Congratulations to Luke Boyle, Luke Reaney, William Nuzum, Ronan Dillon, Darragh O’Neill and Fionn Dowling, and all the subs who assisted along the way – Michael Duke, Cillian Dowling, Oliver Higgins, Cillian Berry and Senan Dolly.

U18 Girls Class 3 was a battle between CLTC 1 and CLTC 2.  This match went down to the wire with CLTC 2 winning a championship tiebreak in the doubles to lift the trophy, a fantastic achievement and a real showcasing of the great young talent in our club.  Congratulations to Lili Alinquant, Olwyn Berry,  Sorcha O’Keefe and Sarah McMenamin in CLTC 2; and Brianna Toland, Isabel Singh, Maeve Durand and Erin Dolly in CLTC 1.  There were a whole host of subs who contributed to both teams during the campaign so a big thanks to all of them- Eva Moore, Cayla O’Neill, Emma Kate Duke, Caoimhe Toland.
