Open Titles for Chloe Collins, Daniel Borisov and Julia Timotin over bank holiday weekend

Chloe Collins won her second open title in 2 weeks winning the Waterford open u-12 girls category 1 event at St. Anne’s.

She beat Verona Madigan Fitzgerald ( Kilkenny ) in final 6-1, 6-3.

Well done Chloe and good luck on your upcoming trip to play an international tournament in the UK.

Daniel Borisov won the u-16 boys open title at the Glasnevin open in a tightly fought final against Vagif Aliyev 3-6, 6-3, 10-3.

Daniel has also shown great maturity and form in the men’s summer league, he is unbeaten to date and has been a great asset to the team.

Julia Timotin won the u-14 girls title at Glasnevin, her third open title already this year. Having earlier won both the Brookfield and Templeogue titles.

She beat Cliodhna Maher (Donnybrook) in the final in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. Julia also won the tournament without loosing a set.

A very honorable mention to Cian Hegarty who also made the final of the u-14 bits open at Glasnevin going down In a championship tie break to Jack McCarthy ( Glenageary ) 11-9 in third. Fantastic effort Cian.
