What is the DLTC Mixed League?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a very popular inter-club event run by the Dublin Lawn Tennis Council involving approximately 70 tennis clubs in the Dublin area. It caters for a wide range of playing ability and is a great opportunity to meet and play other clubs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When is the DLTC Mixed League?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dates for the first round matches are as follows: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round Robin :<\/strong> Friday 4th, Friday 11th, Friday 18th, Friday 25th July and Wednesday 30th July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Playoffs.<\/strong> : Wednesday 6th August<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quarter Finals<\/strong> : Friday 8th August<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Semi Finals<\/strong> : Wednesday 13th August<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finals<\/strong> : Friday 15th August <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the format of the Mixed League?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each team has 6 players (3 men and 3 women) and each mixed doubles pairing plays the best of three sets against a team from another club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where do the matches take place?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You could be scheduled to play at home in Castleknock or away in a different club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What classes are played in Mixed League?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Class 1 \u2013 For players who have not played higher than Class 3 summer league this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Class 2 \u2013 For players who have not played higher than Class 5 summer league this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Class 3 \u2013 For players who have not played higher than Class 6 summer league this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Class 4 – For players who have not played higher than Class 7 summer league this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: If a player subs twice in a particular class for summer league, the player is deemed to be of that standard i.e. if you subbed twice for class 4 summer league, you are deemed to be a class 4 player and therefore can only play class 1 Mixed League. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What if I didn’t play league, can I still enter? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can still enter your name on the expression of interest even if you’ve never played league. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are there any availability restrictions?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be eligible for a team you must be available to play at least 3 of the 5 matches scheduled to be played on the dates above. If do not feel you will be able to commit to play 3 of these 5 matches, then please enter as a sub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are there any age restrictions?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you reached the age of 18 last year, you are eligible to play in this league (i.e. 18 years by 31st<\/sup> December 2024).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I get my name on the list?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To sign up, log in to your Smart Club Cloud<\/a>,<\/strong> select ‘Events’ and then ‘Mixed League 2025 – Expression of Interest’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the closing date?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Closing date for entries is Friday 20th June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
