{"id":21978,"date":"2026-08-26T17:16:45","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T16:16:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cltc.ie\/site\/?page_id=21978"},"modified":"2026-08-26T17:16:45","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T16:16:45","slug":"mixed-team-tennis-2026","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cltc.ie\/site\/mixed-team-tennis-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Mixed Team Tennis 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:#8ed1fc\" class=\"has-inline-color\">The Mixed Team Tennis will start on Friday 18th September.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sign on is now open on Smart Club <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartclubcloud.com\/index.html\">HERE<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will be a fun, social event running over 2 sessions at 7pm and 8.30pm, for 5 consecutive weeks on Friday evenings on 18th, 25th of Sept and 2nd, 9th and 16th of October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prizegiving will be held on the final night &#8211; Friday 16th October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those new members unfamiliar with the event the format consists of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Teams of 6 players (3 women, 3 men &#8211; similar grading ),  across 2 pools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>21 games with the final game a normal tiebreak.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can only play with the same player twice across all weeks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your captain will decide the weekly player pairings and positions ( 1, 2, 3 ).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each week you will play a different team in your pool. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scoring system: 4 points for 14 or more games, 3 points for 11-13 games, 2 points for 10\u00a0games and 1 point for 7-9 games.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When a sub is used in a match that pairing can score a maximum of three points.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Matches are only played on Friday evenings. There will be 2 sessions, 7pm and 8.30pm. If you cannot make a Friday you must use a sub of a similar standard, agreed by the Captains.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The cost of the event is 30 euro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Groups, Schedule, Subs and Rules will be posted here the week before the event starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The emphasis is having fun and enjoying meeting up with other members in our club.
