Beginner:
Players new to tennis or with limited experience
- Struggles to rally and serve consistently
- Requires introduction to basic grips, stances and techniques
- Has limited knowledge of rules and tactics
Intermediate
Players with some matchplay experience how can sustain rallies at moderate pace
- Can rally from baseline consistently with medium pace
- Can serve overarm with relative consistency and first serve with some pace
- Has reasonable command of ball controls (height, speed, spin, direction, depth)
- Basic net play skills
- Understands rules and basic tactics and scoring
- Plays socially or in club competitions
Advanced
Experienced club players with tactical awareness and strong technique
- Can rally with pace and control from baseline
- First serve has pace and placement, second serve spin and/or placement and consistency
- Solid volleys and can transition to net effectively
- Good command of ball controls (height, speed, spin, direction, depth)
- Good command of tactics and point construction (consistency, moving opponent, using strength, attacking weakness, court positioning)
- Regularly competes in leagues and tournaments
Performance (Invitation only)
Competitive players aiming for higher league and tournament results
- High consistency under pressure
- Variety and precision on all strokes, including advanced spins and patterns
- Serve is a weapon, second serve difficult for opponent to attack
- Excellent movement, recovery and positioning
- Adaptable tactics for different gamestyles
- Class 3 and above or equivalent
