Lucas is an accomplished chef who has made his way from the bustling heart of Dublin’s restaurant scene to the exciting opportunity of running his own kitchen at CLTC. Originally from Brazil, Lucas came to Ireland five years ago with the goal of learning English. His journey in the culinary world began humbly as a kitchen porter, but his passion and dedication quickly propelled him through the ranks to become a Head Chef.

Lucas’s love for cooking blossomed as he worked in various esteemed restaurants, where he honed his skills and developed a deep appreciation for the art of cuisine. Now, he brings this experience and a diverse culinary repertoire to CLTC, where he is committed to elevating the dining experience for both members and guests.

For Lucas, food is more than just cooking and serving—it’s about creating an experience. He believes that knowing the chef behind the food builds trust and enriches the overall dining experience. Lucas is not only passionate about the dishes he prepares but also about the community he serves. He makes it a priority to listen to the members and ensure that their favorite dishes are always crafted with care and a touch of creativity.

While Lucas enjoys introducing variety through his specials, he is mindful of the classic favorites that the members love. His goal is to enhance these dishes with his signature flair, adding flavor and a bit of love to every plate.

When asked about his favorite dishes to cook, Lucas shared that his benchmark is always his mother’s approval: “If I cook something that is good enough for my mum, it’s good enough for me!” Lately, he has been particularly interested in perfecting risottos and pasta dishes, blending traditional techniques with his own unique style.

Lucas is excited to share his passion for food with the CLTC community, and he hopes that his creations will encourage members to enjoy the club not only for its tennis but also for its exceptional dining.
