What is the DLTC Mixed League?
This is a very popular inter-club event run by the Dublin Lawn Tennis Council involving approximately 70 tennis clubs in the Dublin area. It caters for a wide range of playing ability and is a great opportunity to meet and play other clubs.
When is the DLTC Mixed League?
Dates for the first round matches are as follows:
Round Robin : Friday 4th, Friday 11th, Friday 18th, Friday 25th July and Wednesday 30th July.
Playoffs. : Wednesday 6th August
Quarter Finals : Friday 8th August
Semi Finals : Wednesday 13th August
Finals : Friday 15th August
What is the format of the Mixed League?
Each team has 6 players (3 men and 3 women) and each mixed doubles pairing plays the best of three sets against a team from another club.
Where do the matches take place?
You could be scheduled to play at home in Castleknock or away in a different club.
What classes are played in Mixed League?
Class 1 – For players who have not played higher than Class 3 summer league this year.
Class 2 – For players who have not played higher than Class 5 summer league this year.
Class 3 – For players who have not played higher than Class 6 summer league this year.
Class 4 – For players who have not played higher than Class 7 summer league this year.
Note: If a player subs twice in a particular class for summer league, the player is deemed to be of that standard i.e. if you subbed twice for class 4 summer league, you are deemed to be a class 4 player and therefore can only play class 1 Mixed League.
What if I didn’t play league, can I still enter?
You can still enter your name on the expression of interest even if you’ve never played league.
Are there any availability restrictions?
To be eligible for a team you must be available to play at least 3 of the 5 matches scheduled to be played on the dates above. If do not feel you will be able to commit to play 3 of these 5 matches, then please enter as a sub.
Are there any age restrictions?
If you reached the age of 18 last year, you are eligible to play in this league (i.e. 18 years by 31st December 2024).
How do I get my name on the list?
To sign up, log in to your Smart Club Cloud, select ‘Events’ and then ‘Mixed League 2025 – Expression of Interest’.
What is the closing date?
Closing date for entries is Friday 20th June 2025.
