After a break last year we are back with LADIES TEAM TENNIS 2026

This will be a fun, social event run over Thursday evenings in July.
For those new members unfamiliar with the event the format consists of
- Teams of 6 players (similarly graded level ).
- 21 games with the final game a normal tiebreak.
- You can only play with the same player twice across all weeks.
- Your captain will decide the player pairings and positions ( 1, 2, 3 ).
- Each week you will play a different team in your category. Depending on entry there may be 4 or 5 matches.
- Scoring system: 4 points for 14 or more games, 3 points for 11-13 games, 2 points for 10 games and 1 point for 7-9 games.
- When a sub is used in a match that pairing can score a maximum of three points.
- Matches are only played on Thursday evenings. There will be 2 sessions, if required, 7pm and 8.30pm. If you cannot make a Thursday you must use a sub of a similar standard, agreed by the Ladies Captain or a member of the Ladies Tennis committee.
The cost of the event is 20 euro.
The emphasis is having fun, coming out to play on a summer evening and meeting with your fellow members and hopefully a drink after on a sunny balcony. So sign up now on Smart Club.
