Our Second term of the junior coaching programme will commence on Monday 10th May and run for 15 weeks, ending on Saturday 21st August. Dear MembersFurther to the latest government announcement last night placing the country into new level 5 restrictions. Unfortunately, this means that no tennis is permitted until at least January 31st and the Club will close from 18.00 Thursday 30th December and remain closed in line with the current restrictions. We would like to thank members for their continued support during these unprecedented times, particularly with these new restrictions which hopefully will help contain the virus from escalating any further and allow us to get back to some normality very soon. Dear Members, The Government’s guidance on Level 5 is now clear, with the risk to public health meaning that individuals are asked to stay at home with certain exceptions. The protocols, as they relate to Tennis, can be summarised as follows; Non-contact training / coaching can continue for school aged children under the supervision of designated coaches. It must occur outdoors in pods of no more than 6 players per court. A maximum of 4 players can operate on the court at any one time while remaining in their own sections of the court, with up to 2 other players rotating in and out as required. All activities are subject to strict social distancing and those players not on court must always maintain a clear 2m distance from others.We ask…

Dear Members Following last evening's announcement of an escalation in Dublin to Level 3 (as per the Government's recently published framework Resilience and Recovery 2020-2021: Living with COVID-19) will have major implications for activities, both tennis and dining, in the Club. The Club will, in all instances, be guided by this framework together with Government and Tennis Ireland advice that forms part of the framework. The key message is that we should reduce our contact groups to as few as possible, for us in CLTC this might mean reducing the amount of times we play each week and the number of different people we play with for the moment.
