If you are interested in trying out competitive tennis, league tennis is a great way to do it. You get to represent the club and meet and play other clubs. If you are a member over the age of 14, why not give it a go!
CLTC participates in numerous inter-club events including the Dublin Lawn Tennis Council (DLTC) leagues which cater for a wide range of playing ability from Classes 1 – 10. These are:
Winter League: January through February / March, Sunday mornings (Men), Sunday afternoons (Ladies), teams of 3 doubles pairings
Summer League: May through June, Friday nights or Saturday afternoons (Men), Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights (Ladies), teams of 3 singles & 2 doubles pairings
Mixed League: July through August, Friday nights, teams of 3 mixed doubles pairings
Senior League: September through October, Sunday afternoons (Men), Sunday mornings (Ladies), teams of 3 doubles pairings
Floodlight League: October through November, Monday nights (Men), Tuesday nights (Ladies), teams of 4. There is a draw each week to decide whether you play singles or doubles.
If you would like to know more about playing league for the club, chat to some members who play league or ask the Men’s or Ladies Captain, they will only be too glad to help.
We held an Information Session for members on DLTC Ladies League on 29th July 2024. This was following feedback that people are not clear on how league teams are selected. If you are interested in how players are selected, you may find these documents useful.
